Position Summary:MarkMonitor is currently looking for a Senior Accountant, reporting to the Controller. This position will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact at a growing company as you use your previous accounting experience to further develop processes and controls while supporting the financial management team and partnering with business unit managers. Job Responsibilities:Significant duties related to month end closeGeneral ledger account analysis and reconciliationsPrepare general ledger accrual entriesProject accounting, time tracking, analysis, and reportingLead quarterly variable compensation processAnalysis of payroll dataReview financial results, provide variance analysis and investigate and resolve issuesPerform bank account reconciliationsReport and analyze fixed assets vs. planDevelopment of processes and assessing internal controlsAssist with preparation of budgeting and forecastingParticipate in corporate:wide initiatives and improvement projectsSupport with the annual financial auditConduct ad:hoc projects and analysis as needed to support operational decision makingProvide back:up support to other accounting staff We are the leading source of intelligent information for the worlds businesses and professionals, providing customers with competitive advantage. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:3:5 years experience in Accounting. Software industry and SAP experience a strong plus.Motivated, energetic, able to work in a high:pressure startup environmentAbility to identify issues from a business process standpoint and make recommendations for change/improvement where appropriate.Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to details are criticalAbility to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Personal characteristics of professionalism, commitment to high standards, persistence and a strong commitment to a team approachMust have ability to think/express creatively and analytically.Knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel.Strong understanding of US GAAP, understanding of IFRS a strong plus.BA or BS in Accounting or Finance required.CPA preferred At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
